Sub-metering is a system that involves the use of a vending management software and prepayment meters to manage and calculate the accurate consumption of electricity, water or gas in individual apartments of a multitenant facility. HOW IT WORKS FOR ELECTRICITY
Firstly, the facility MUST be bulk metered i.e., uses a
Maximum Demand (MD) meter (Prepaid or Postpaid)
Our team of engineers install EISL prepaid single/three phase
Split smart STS meters in each apartment
Then install meter to carter for perimeter lights, water pumps,
and other common utility. The basic idea is to get the accurate
a n d a d e q u a t e i n f o r m a t i o n a b o u t p o w e r
distribution/consumption within the facility. This information
may also help in determining the service charge.
HOW IT WORKS FOR WATER
A central water meter is installed in each primary supplying
pipe for each reservoir to calculate the volume of water
supplied (For effective reconciliation).
Prepaid water meters are then installed at primary supply
point in each house.
Water tariff can be determined according to the cost of
treatment, maintenance and supply.
Residence can then buy prepaid tokens to authorize their
water meter either from the designated vending office or the
Online Customer portal.
Tokens can be printed or received as SMS by the resident.
To authorize water supply, the resident will simply input the
token into the water meter

Since the meters installed are prepaid meters, the occupants of facility will have to buy prepaid token to authorize
electricity supply. Authorization token can be purchased online using the customer portal or at a vending office
located within the estate or facility.
O u r v e n d i n g s o f t w a r e c a n b e configured to make deductions for service charges (Which may comprise
of cost of security, cleaning, and shared lighting among others). The vending software can simply be configured to
deduct specific amount once a month as service charge. For example: If service charge is N10, 000 monthly is applied and a tenant comes to purchase electricity of N22, 000, the system automatically deducts N10,000 for service charge and gives the tenant N12, 000-naira worth of electricity token. So, the facility owner can retrieve all payments without hassles or stress.
Setting Tariff – The tariff can be set to include cost of electricity from DISCO, cost of supplying alternative electricity
(Such as generators, biogas etc.) and maybe VAT; this system simply helps to inculcate all associated costs into a single tariff. With our vending software the electricity tariff can be determined and modifications can be made anytime at will.

signal is sent as soon as the meter is tempered with and it
automatically trips off. It will require a clear tamper code
which is domiciled with only an authorized person before
